Course & Dates

The whole course lasts three years, and covers the following topics, each of which will be applied to current issues:

Year 1: GOD AND HIS PEOPLE

• 1.1 God’s Story – the ‘big picture’ of the Bible
• 1.2 God’s Word – what is it and how we read it?
• 1.3 God’s Nature – Trinity and the character of God
• 1.4 God’s World – creation, sin, and what it means to be human
• 1.5 God’s History – the story of the church so far

Year 2 CHRIST AND THE CHURCH

• 2.1 Christ’s Person – who Jesus is and why it matters
• 2.2 Christ’s Work – how we are saved in Christ
• 2.3 Christ’s Kingdom – Jesus’ Kingdom message in the Gospels
• 2.4 Christ’s Church –the identity and purpose of the Church
• 2.5 Christ’s Life in Us – 1 Corinthians

Year 3 THE HOLY SPIRIT, DISCIPLESHIP AND MISSION

• 3.1 The Holy Spirit’s person and work – who he is, what he does
• 3.2 The Holy Spirit and Mission – Acts and the mission of Paul
• 3.3 The Holy Spirit and Lifestyle – keeping in step with the Spirit
• 3.4 The Holy Spirit and the Prophets – Old Testament Prophets
• 3.5 The Holy Spirit and the End Times – Revelation and eschatology
