SUMMARY:[Cancelled] Daughters – Carrying the Micah Mandate
DESCRIPTION:This event has been cancelled – please read below:\nIt is with great reluctance that we have decided to cancel the Daughters Day event on Saturday March 14th 2020. As you can imagine\, we have not taken this decision easily. It has not been taken out of any sense of fear or panic. It’s a decision that has been taken prayerfully and is rooted in love and care for each other and a sense of responsibility for the wider community. \nIf you have purchased tickets online\, the money will be refunded to your bank account. If you have purchased a ticket through your local Church\, your local representative will arrange for you to be reimbursed. \nIt is our intention to hopefully reschedule the Daughters event for the Autumn\, and we will keep you informed as and when a firm decision has been made. \nOur apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you\, but as you will be aware the current circumstances that we find ourselves are very changeable\, but we are confident that our God is in control. As daughters of Father God\, it would be good if we kept prayerful for our communities and nation at this time. \n\nDaughters – Carrying the Micah Mandate\nWith a guest speaker plus worship and a variety of seminars. \nEmpowering the Daughters of the King of Kings to live out the ‘Micah Mandate’\, wherever God has called them to be in this season and the next. \nYour ticket price includes refreshments for the day and dessert/fruit at lunchtime. Please bring a savoury packed lunch.\n\n\n \n TICKET SITE\n	\n \n \n \n \nAbout Daughters \n \n \n	\nWomen seeking to live in the ways of Jesus are Daughters.  Daughters with destiny\, influence and authority\, handmade on purpose\, who do justice\, love mercy and walk humbly before their God.\nJoin with the Taking Ground Churches as we explore what it means to live with justice\, mercy and humility at the centre of everything we do. \nTaking Ground | Daughters provides opportunities for all of the churches within our family to give women a launch pad into their God given identity\, and learn how to walk with boldness in their new found freedom. \nGiving women space to encounter God during a one day event or a weekend away can change the atmosphere not only in the Church but in the world it influences. \nTaking Ground | Daughters loves to see the Church giving each woman the opportunity to encounter the Father heart of God and to walk in her God given destiny\, honouring Him and bringing the Kingdom in her sphere of influence.\n \n \n \n \nSeminars \n \n \n	\nWe will have a choice of seminars as part of the day. When you book your tickets you will be able to indicate three preferences and two seminars will be assigned to you depending on availability. \n\nReleasing Justice and Mercy through Prayer and Intercession – Esther Swaffield-Bray (IJM)\nOver the last 20 years\, International Justice Mission (IJM) have rescued more than 50\,000 people from slavery and violent oppression\, and rates of slavery have dropped by more than 80% in countries where they have worked. This miraculous transformation is almost unheard of in international development… so what’s the secret? \nDuring this seminar we will explore the integral relationship between prayer and justice and explore how seeking transformation can only come through partnering these two things together. However\, praying for justice feels hard\, so often we don’t! By drawing from scripture and examples from around the world\, we will consider the practical steps we can take so that we too can be equipped to pray for and release justice\, wherever we are\, until all are free. \nEsther Swaffield-Bray serves as England Director for International Justice Mission (IJM)\, the largest anti-slavery organisation in the world. Esther is a gifted communicator and loves sharing stories of how God is bringing miraculous breakthrough through His people seeking justice around the world. She lives in the beautiful North East of England\, with her husband Tom. \n\nCarrying Justice and Mercy to the Vulnerable – Laura Brett (Press Red)\n\nViolence and abuse directly harms one in three women worldwide\, with the damage it causes affecting many more. This is not what God intended\, and it is time for us all to make a revolutionary change. This seminar will explore the issue of worldwide violence against women and seek to discover how we\, as women in the body of Christ\, can respond and be equipped and empowered to make a difference. \n\n\n\nLaura is a trained midwife\, international speaker\, a member of the Archbishop’s College of Evangelists and an advocate and activist for vulnerable and broken women.   \n\n\nHaving previously worked in the field of perinatal mental health as a specialist midwife\, she is now Head of Development at charity Press Red and is passionately concerned about the impact that mental health has on today’s society – in particular with regards to human trafficking\, FGM\, Domestic Abuse and Forced Marriage. \n\n\nShe firmly believes that the transformational power of the gospel is fundamental in setting people free from the hurt\, shame and destruction these abuses bring upon individuals\, families and the extended community. Laura and her husband Rob lead The Filling Station in Harrogate – an informal monthly spirit-filled\, cross-denominational meeting of worship\, Word and ministry. Laura has three teenage children. \n\n\n\nReleasing Justice and Mercy through the Prophetic and Worship – Hannah Mumford and Elaine Eley\n\nCarrying Justice and Mercy in the Workplace – Helen Malbon & Leanne Chilton\n\nCarrying Justice and Mercy in Engaging with Social Action and Advocating for Change – Natalie Mills and Olivia Mills\n\nIn this seminar we’ll be thinking together about how the Micah mandate calls us to take action and speak up on behalf of the most vulnerable. What can this look like and how should we go about it? Olivia and Natalie will share their heart for social action and engaging with politics by sharing stories\, experiences and providing a space for practical discussion. \nNatalie works for UK fostering and adoption charity Home for Good. She is in the political advocacy team and is passionate about seeing Christians bring a voice of hope into politics on behalf of the most vulnerable. \nOlivia works as an English teacher for a charity in Leeds that supports families in areas of the city ranked most deprived 1% to 10% nationally. Her heart is to see those at risk from deprivation overcome significant challenges\, fulfil their potential and experience God’s love. \n\nReleasing Justice and Mercy to the Nations – Home and Abroad – Jennie Potter\nThis seminar will explore what justice for all nations\, including the one we are in\, looks like and what is our role (as a Church and as individuals) in bringing that justice. \nJennie Potter is in full time mission at Kid’s Life Ministries Foundation\, Thailand where she is part of a small team who seek to restore Thailand to its creator through community projects\, the Church\, scholarship projects\, supporting local families\, mothering the motherless and teaching in the Bible School. Jennie has a heart for all of God’s children to know that they are loved\, wanted\, planned for and provided for by their Heavenly Father. \n\nCarrying Justice and Mercy in Righteous Relationships and through Times of Testing – Sylvia Mills and Lynda Dunkley\nThis seminar will look at the importance of healthy\, godly relationships that embrace mercy\, humility and justice. We will be looking at the subjects of forgiveness\, handling conflict and keeping God central to all our relationships. \nThis seminar will be led by Lynda Dunkley and Sylvia Mills\, who are both part of the leadership team of  Tees Valley Community Church. Both Lynda & Sylvia have many years pastoral experience within the church. The session will include some teaching as well as group discussion and prayer ministry. \n\nExpressing Justice\, Mercy and Humility through Creative Activities – Mandy Dixon\nIn this session we’ll take time to listen to what God is saying to us individually about where he wants us to carry justice\, mercy and humility in this season of our lives or in a future season. We’ll also listen prophetically about our identity. There will be paints\, pastels\, pens and it might get messy but it’s not an art class for artists – rather it’s way of expressing what we are hearing from God in a creative way. \nMandy is a member of TVCC and in recent years has seen her love of art and moving in the prophetic fuse together. \n\n \n \n \n \nThe Venue \n \n \n	\nThe Oakwood Centre\, home of TVC Church\, is situated in Eaglescliffe\, Stockton-on-Tees\, and is perfect for events like this due to the large auditorium for main talks and multiple function rooms for seminars. \nThere is a large\, free car park on site. Allen’s West train station is only a 15-minute walk from the building too with regular trains from Darlington and Middlesbrough. \nThere are disabled toilets and baby changing facilities available.
